Start with logs

Logs: In particular, wood segments to be sawed.

Peeling: refers to stripping the bark from a log. Special wood peeling machines can be used; hydraulic methods can also be used for peeling. Leather timber: refers to the board or square timber obtained by longitudinal and transverse sawing of logs;

Cutting board or string cutting board.

Plates: Refers to the raw materials that are prepared to make pallets. Depending on the pallet size, the width of the sheet is usually 80 - 90mm, and the thickness is usually 15 - 25mm.

Drying: Take certain measures to reduce the moisture content of wood. Inspection: Mainly check whether the plate has obvious defects.

dry treatment

The raw material wood of wooden pallets can be properly dried to improve its mechanical strength and dimensional stability; prevent decay, mildew, insects and frogs and reduce losses such as cracking and deformation; at the same time, under appropriate conditions, the overall wooden pallet can be omitted. heat treatment process. For example, the European Pallet Association stipulates that the moisture content of the wood is lower than 22%, and if the moisture content of the wooden pallet is 22% - 26%, it is considered as a secondary defect.

Drying of wood can be divided into two categories: natural drying and artificial drying. Due to the cost saving of the former natural drying, many pallet manufacturers use this method when the requirements are not high.
